Geoenergia de Guanacaste, Limitada ("GdG") is a Costa Rican limited liability company that owns the Miravalles III Geothermal Project ("MIII Project"). The MIII Project is located in Guanacaste Province, in northwestern Costa Rica.
GdG is owned by Oxbow, Marubeni and Jose Altmann & Co., a Costa Rican investor. The MIII Project was constructed by Mitsubishi Corporation under a turnkey EPC contract.
The plant has achieved a generating capacity of approximately 27MW from a single generator and a single turbine powered by geothermal steam. GdG sells power to the Insitituto Costarricense de Electricidad ("ICE") under the MIII PPA, a construction plus 15-year BOT Agreement.
