Oxbow operates four petroleum coke shipping terminals worldwide, including Long Beach, California, Texas City, Texas, and St. Croix. Most of the company’s terminal customers are large integrated oil companies that choose to outsource the storage and loading of petroleum coke for a fee. A facility in Cabedello, Brazil is also being developed.
Products are either loaded or unloaded at Oxbow’s facilities by vessel, barge, train, truck or conveyor belt, where they are segregated, sized, blended, stored in barns or transported to domestic or foreign customers. Oxbow handles more than nine million tons of petroleum coke and other products through its terminals annually.
